Here you can see the typical differences between a man and a woman in body fatness in both the storage fat and essential fat. And the take home point from this illustration is really that women have both more overall fat, body fat in general. Again, it's possible for a woman to have less body fat than a man, but in general women have higher levels of body fat. They also have higher levels of essential fats compared to men. And this is really due to childbearing and very useful for childbearing purposes.
