Dickson Mounds. This individual has some representative grave goods, but these are not in situ. The grave goods include pots, bone tools above the head, imported and domestic shells, a ground stone celt, and some antler fabricating tools. Note the collection of human femurs near this burial but presumably not connected with it.

Copper gorget. From Burial 1000, the grave of a presumably high status male, which included a number of other imported and valued objects. This gorget, a cross within a sun circle, probably is representative of the Southern Cult. Dickson Mounds Museum.
