A Real-Number System: Order, Distance, and Origin
- Order: A larger number represents a larger amount of an attribute or ability being measured;
- Distance: There are equal distances between measurement units;
- Origin: Somewhere in the series there is a zero, which represents a total absence of the attribute being measured.
