We often think that sex is sexual intercourse, but sex is not limited to sexual intercourse. Heterosexuals engage in a wide variety of sexual activities, which may include erotic touching, kissing, oral-genital sex, vaginal intercourse, and anal eroticism. Except for vaginal intercourse, gay and lesbian couples engage in basically the same sexual activities as do heterosexuals.
